Our goal is to prepare students for professional licensing and fulfilling careers in any of the various disciplines covered in their program. No matter what your experience level is, our instructors guide you step-by-step through your education.
Manicuring Program
- Our Manicuring program consists of 300 hours of instruction in the art, science and business of professional nail care.
- You’ll learn manicuring, pedicuring, nail tipping and extensions, nail wraps, nail gels, sculptured nails, and nail art.
- Your training includes a professional Morgan Tailor kit which includes Milady textbooks and the required manicuring tools for your education.
During the first 150 hours of the course, you will learn manicuring fundamentals through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and hand-on practice with mannequins and one another.
- During the second 150 hours of your course, you will transition to the clinic floor where you will continue building on basic skills, while performing a variety of nail services on live patrons.
- After completing 150 hours of education, the NJ State Board provides Work Permits to students allowing them to work as manicurists through their graduations.

Part of our mission is to prepare our students for entry-level employment in esthetics or related beauty and healthcare fields. Shore’s active student clinic provides you with the opportunity to practice and build your skills while performing services on live patrons.
We also encourage students, while training in the clinic, to build a book of business that can be taken with them to a job after graduation. Additionally, you will learn Shear Success Business Fundamentals, which we created as a practical supplement to our programs. Shear Success teaches techniques in building a book of business, networking, marketing, client management and maximizing your earnings.
